Sherwood Shorts 2010

Sherwood Shorts, a showcase created to give a platform for local filmmakers.

The event will run during the week of 19th – 26th June 2010 in conjunction with Sherwood Art Week and is open to all regardless of age or experience.
There will also be a Young Filmmakers Showcase running alongside the main event, open to anyone 17 years and under, showing films suitable for family audiences.

What we want
What we are looking for are interesting, unusual, innovative, entertaining, thought provoking shorts that are no longer than 10 minutes in length.
These films can be from any genre: drama, documentary, musical, animation, the possibilities are endless. You can use video cameras, computer animation or even your mobile phone to create your masterpiece. The only limit is your creativity.

Are you eligible?
To be able to enter the showcase, all we ask is that you have a link to the Sherwood area in Nottingham. You may live in Sherwood now, been brought up in Sherwood and have moved away or the film may have a Sherwood theme or link. The showcase, like Sherwood Art Week is intended to highlight the creativity within or linked to the area.

You may have a film already, ready for submission. If so, great. If not, then get your creative thinking cap on.
To enter the showcase, send your finished film on CD or DVD, along with your completed application form to:
